Visions tread the boards with Steve Coogan
Outside Broadcaster to capture all the laughs from the Blackpool Opera House
When British comedian Steve Coogan takes to the stage at the Blackpool Opera House as part of his first stand up tour in ten years, NEP Visions, the largest independent Outside Broadcast company in the UK and one of the largest in Europe, will be on hand to deliver a complete high definition OB solution.
Coogan's last stand up tour played 200 performances and was seen by 350,000 people so expectations are high for the new tour: Steve Coogan as Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters. The tour will see Coogan revive many of his best loved comedic creations including Alan Partridge, Paul Calf, Tommy Saxondale, Duncan Thicket and Tony Ferrino.
Coogan will be playing two nights at the Blackpool Opera House on Wednesday 26 November and Thursday 27 November and Visions will be providing its high quality and reliable solutions using OB unit D7 to record the concert in HD for the live DVD of the tour, set to be released early in 2009.
Starting out as a stand-up comic and impressionist, Coogan went on to find fame with TV programs such as I'm Alan Partridge, The Day Today, Knowing Me Knowing You and Saxondale. He has won numerous British Comedy awards and BAFTA's and recently starred in Hollywood blockbusters including Night at the Museum and Tropic Thunder.
